The purpose of this document is to communicate the concepts of the high level asset design which is the baseline of the asset solution and asset/location hierarchy in the FM system.
A comprehensive and appropriate Location and Asset definition/hierarchy forms the cornerstone of a successful FM and Enterprise Asset Management System.
The design is required to support the ability to identify Physical and Functional assets from all relevant perspectives within Sydney Airport using key Maximo features and functionality.
Knowing the type of asset and using systems of locations provides the ability to track valuable information on the history of assets, including asset performance, and specific site costs.
